I started working at Albrite in Aug. 1970. The partners worked long hours to get the business going. During the day, they made calls and, often at night, worked in the maintenance end, cleaning fixtures and replacing lamps.

Jack was a happy-go-lucky fellow, always smiling. His favourite answer to the question,"How are you doing?" was "If I was any better, I couldn't stand it." He was also a man of utmost ingegrity.

Jack and Mark had many well known Victoria businessmen for friends who would regularily pop in just to pass the time of day or lend a word of support. I can honestly say that they were all gentlemen. This said a lot for type of man Jack was and Mark, too.

I loved my job and never wanted to move on as I felt I was part of the "family".
My thoughts and those of Des are with you all.

Happy golfing, Jack. Hugh will be happy to see you.

I was sad to hear of Jack's passing. I remember when he would
stop by Albrite ( on his way to the golf course) - he had a great smile
and a sense of humour to match. My thoughts & prayers are with the
family.
